Warehouse Operative

The warehouse at UK Rigging is a vital department, responsible for the maintenance and management of a wide range of rigging equipment. Whether you are diligently picking and packing an order for the next big arena show, or cleaning down equipment which has just been returned from a festival site, this job role requires excellent attention to detail, physical strength and manual dexterity. As well as being a career in itself, this role can also provide an excellent entry point for those wishing to begin a career in rigging.

Inspections Department

The inspection department covers many legal responsibilities within the business, including mainly the inspection and maintenance of lifting equipment and accessories, but also including the inspection of PFPS for working at height. Supported with a wide range of nationally recognised qualifications, this is a career path for those who are comfortable with legal responsibility, possess high attention to detail, the ability to maintain focus, and good manual dexterity. 

Fabrication & Installation Department

Whether its repair of equipment, or working alongside the Projects Department on a bespoke installation- welding, joinery, creative thinking and mechanical understanding are key requirements for the Fabrication department. With a mobile welding unit that can be deployed onsite, this is a rare opportunity to be part of the entertainment industry within your welding career.

Climbing Rigger

To be a climbing rigger you must have your National Rigging Certificate (NRC), along with relevant experience and the correct equipment. If you have achieved your NRC you can apply to work as a freelance climbing rigger for UK Rigging at a wide range of venues and productions around the UK and beyond.  Riggers who work for UK Rigging on a regular basis receive various extra perks depending on their location, skill-level and availability. These can include a discount in the PPE shop, opportunities to test new products, free spaces on training courses, paid mentoring opportunities and more. Ground Rigger 

Working as an entertainment rigger is an unusual and rewarding career path for those who enjoy it. Riggers working on the ground do not usually need their NRC qualification, but will be expected to have training such as the 3 Day Rigging for the Entertainment industry training course certificate along with relevant experience. Project Rigger

When you have achieved your NRC you may choose to apply for the role of Project Rigger as your next step towards an advanced technical role. This job role is for those who have a solid foundation of rigging experience, looking to embed themselves within the company and progress within the industry. You will work alongside our team of experienced Project Managers to attain invaluable experience, working towards the role of Project Manager.
